Hi, Fashionista/os! It’s me Taylor Carney, and I am returning once again for my third semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! For those of you that don’t know, I am a sophomore fashion design student at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
My personal style varies from day to day, and it’s not uncommon to see me wearing all black one day and a floral dress the next. I love trying out new looks and experimenting with different pieces and color combinations. I take fashion inspiration everywhere I can find it, from celebrities like Kendall Jenner, fashion trend websites or even from just walking on the street.
For this outfit, I really wanted to incorporate my vintage Rolling Stones T-shirt into a fashionable outfit that I could wear to my fashion classes. To do this, I tucked my top into a cute black skater skirt and wore a pair of black, strappy wedge sandals. I think that the skirt and sandals give the T-shirt a more feminine touch, while still allowing my T-shirt to be the focus of the outfit. I kept my accessories super simple with a stack of Alex and Ani bracelets, a Michael Kors purse and rose gold sunglasses.
Fashion and photography are two things I’m very passionate about, and I really look forward to sharing looks I see from around campus with all of you throughout this semester!
