Hello fellow fashion lovers! My name is Taylor White, and I am currently in my third year at San Francisco State University as a fashion merchandising major.
As a fashion student, I am extremely passionate about styling. Using fashion and beauty as my creative outlets, styling allows me to create based on what I am feeling and what I want my outfit to say. As my career advances in the fashion industry, I have high ambitions of fulfilling my dream job as a buyer for a reputable company—someone please tell Topshop I’m available. However, until that day comes, I will continue dreaming about sitting front row at New York Fashion Week.
As the spring semester continues, it will likely become very apparent that I do not necessarily stick to any specific style. Not wanting to label or limit my wardrobe, I love testing out different trends and mixing and matching pieces together while drawing inspiration from nearly everything. Playing with different textures, creating color palettes and having complete freedom in fashion is what makes it liberating and empowering.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring my beautiful city and all it has to offer. As San Francisco is home to AMAZING vintage and thrift stores, boutiques and department stores, I have no shame in saying shopping is my cardio. While looking through vinyl bins in record stores and eating waffles at cute, trendy brunch spots are a few of my favorite things, most days usually consist of prancing around my townhouse listening to One Direction and daydreaming about Harry Styles, purging through the pages of NYLONÂ and Vogue and watching old Britney Spears music videos.
As this is my first semester as a Style Guru, I could not be more excited for this opportunity and to see what the spring semester will bring!
Cheers to a stylish semester!
