Hola amigos! I hope you all had a fun, relaxing summer and are getting pumped for another year of learning, spending time with your best friends, meeting new people and experimenting with new fashion trends! My name is Tereysa and I am a sophomore at the University of Iowa. I am majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Spanish. You might think Iowa is a few years behind in fashion, but thanks to social media, places like Iowa might surprise you now with how up-to-date and evolving our fashion sense is! Our campus is filled with such unique and beautiful outfits everyday and I’m so excited to find my favorite ones and show them to you guys!
I have always had a great interest in fashion, especially once I entered high school and started dressing how I wanted, rather than how my classmates dressed and just focusing on fitting in. I found so much pleasure in putting together outfits every morning and constantly changing my closet. My love for fashion is constantly increasing and my inspirations are always changing. I am currently obsessed with black and white (patterned or plain) clothes and adding cool accessories and funky shoes. I am a student-athlete, so I can be found in athletic wear frequently, but even then I try to dress it up a bit and make it more interesting than a pair of gray sweatpants and a baggy T-shirt. I’m a supporter of the idea of always trying to look good because you never know who you’ll run into!
Like I said, I am always changing my closet, so that has turned me into a bargain shopper. I love finding a good sale and buying tons of versatile things that I can add to my closet. High end thrift shopping is a must. I am developing an addiction to shoes and I have found that shoes can take an outfit to the next level with little effort. And I love that we are now at the age where our feet aren’t growing anymore, so we can spend a little more on shoes knowing that they will be used for a long time.
For this outfit I am wearing what is a typical for me to wear to class on a day when I have a few more minutes to get ready. It is just a tank top and jeans, but I added some matching accessories and casual heels to dress it up a bit more. My jeans are by STS Blue (Nordstrom annual sale!), my white tank top is by Tildon, my shoes are by Very Volatile, my necklace is a long, simple, rose gold pendant necklace from Brandy Melville, my watch is from Charming Charlie and my black and white striped backpack is by Madden Girl.
