Hello my fashionable friends! My name is Tess Palan, and I’m currently a student at UC, Santa Cruz. I’m a sister of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, which I love so much. And even though my major is Business Management Economics, my love and passion are devoted for fashion. Throughout the years, I’ve been taking different fashion courses at schools like Parsons and more. This is my first semester as a Style Guru, and I’m beyond excited to join the CollegeFashionista family.
I consider my style quite simple yet very unique. I mostly wear “basic” clothing and add extra pieces along with the outfit to give it something different. But I also have my sophisticated days. I believe that one piece can make the whole outfit different. Every morning when I pick my outfit, I check the weather, my mood and the plans I have for the day. The colors you can find in my closet are mainly black, white and gray. I’m also a huge fan of leather and jeans shirts. In addition, I love hats, sneakers and heels. Basically, I adore anything fashion related.
For as long as I can remember, fashion was always something that I was interested in. The clothes I wear were always important. I like to call myself a trendsetter. From a young age, I was the first to wear the new trends. I traveled a lot throughout the years, so I usually get my inspirations from exploring different cultures. When it comes to my jewelry, my necklace is the classic Tiffany & Co. key. My bracelets vary from fashion jewelry to brand ones, and my rings are either from exotic places like India, Peru and Costa Rica or those that have been with my family for years.
