I thought I would fill in the blanks for you.
My name is Theresa Enright and I’m a freshman at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. I’m currently studying Fashion and Textile Brand Management in NC State’s amazing College of Textiles. I’m also a runner, a pun enthusiast and a blogger at Paired Apparel with my older sister. Now I also get to add a CollegeFashionista Style Guru to that list!
I discovered my love for fashion and blogging my freshman year of high school after I somehow found myself killing time on a popular style blog. I was sucked in immediately haven’t looked back since!
My favorite styles usually fall on the more daring side: wearing platform shoes despite the fact that I’m already 5’10? Got it. Canadian tuxedo (read: denim on denim on denim…)? You know it. Blue lipstick? Sounds like fun. I’m a strong believer in the idea that as long as you embrace your personal style and exude confidence, you’ll look amazing.
For my STYLE GURU BIO outfit, I pulled out one of my loudest dresses, a collaboration from Ashish x Topshop a summer ago (and don’t worry—you can follow me using the social media links above! You don’t have to listen to the almighty shirt dress.). There’s a good chance this shirt dress was originally supposed to be a swimsuit cover up, but forget the rules. If I think it’s a dress, it’s a dress.
For accessories, I went with an entire arm full of silver bracelets, found from various thrift shops and abandoned jewelry boxes (although you can get some similar ones for cheap here: Cuff Bracelet, 4-Pack Bangles). My bag is from Nordstrom. My shoes and my hair were the last touches to my look—a man bun and some mandals. This obviously loved pair, definitely inspired by white Birkenstock sandals, was a cheap purchase from Target that makes them the perfect substitute for the typical poor college student.
I’m excited to explore my campus and share how fashionable, talented, and creative the rest of the students of North Carolina State University are with you!
