STYLE GURU BIO: Tiffany Goldstein

Greetings Fashionistas/os, my name is Tiffany Goldstein, and I am thrilled to call myself your newest CollegeFashionista Style Guru. I currently attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio as a sophomore, and I am majoring in Journalism and Fashion Retail Merchandising, and Product Development. I am looking forward to a fashion filled fall semester, and I am extremely eager to see and meet the Bobcat Fashionistas/os, who are strutting down Court Street.

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York and was brought up in a fashion forward family. If I’m not spending my summers in the Hamptons strolling down Main Street in South Hampton window shopping, I am helping my older sister with her Fashion blog “ThePreppyMAG” covering events in Manhattan. I also spend time on shopping sprees in SoHo or on Fashion Avenue. From the time that I was just a little girl, my mother brought me up idealizing CoCo Chanel, spritzing me with our all-time favorite Coco Mademoiselle or Chanel No.5 for as long as I can remember. These classic scents may be a bit mature for some. However, they will always remind me of my mother and my favorite designer, CoCo Chanel. You will often find me wearing pearls and a classic “slimming” little black dress or skirt.

I love dressing others and sharing my passion for fashion. I love to experiment with different fashion styles, but my personal favorites are preppy and bohemian, although they are completely different. I believe my diverse taste in fashion gives me the opportunity to have more of a creative eye. I dress to express myself and reflect who I truly am through my fashion and style with clothing and accessories. I believe you can somewhat identify someone’s personality by what they wear and how they present themselves. I always dress to impress. And yes, I do get dressed up every day for class! The key to fashion success is to wear articles of clothing that make you feel confident about yourself as well as happy. As Lilly Pulitzer once said, “ Being happy never goes out of style.”

As I spend my time on Ohio University’s campus, I enjoy getting involved and giving back to the community around me. I am currently the stylist for the student-run fashion magazine called “ Thread Magazine”, reporter and broadcaster for the Ohio University radio and television station called “WOUB”, sister of and public relations chair for Alpha Delta Pi and an out of state ambassador for students across campus.

I am super excited and thankful to be working with the CollegeFashionista team and to have the opportunity to be a Style Guru this fall semester. Please come along with me as I take this fashion adventure through our Ohio University campus and together we can enjoy our passion for fashion.
