What’s up all my Fashionistas/os out there? My name is Toni-Lynn Ward and I’m so excited to be a Style Guru this fall! I’m currently attending East Carolina University, (GO PIRATES!) where I’m a senior, majoring in Communication with a minor in Fashion Merchandising.
I was born and raised in a small town right outside of Greenville, North Carolina, but I love to travel to new places any chance that I get. I’ve never been out of the country, but that’s my next goal! When I’m not studying, going to class or working, I love to film fashion, lifestyle, and vlog for my YouTube channel. It’s definitely a passion of mine and I would love to somehow incorporate that into my career one day!
I’ve had a passion for fashion ever since I was a little girl playing dress-up, but I never imagined how much it would impact my life when I got older. Being the shopaholic that I am, I can never get enough of the latest items in stores, even though it’s a somewhat unhealthy obsession!
My style is a mixture of a lot of different looks blended together. I generally like to be more laid back, but still what I would consider cute with my outfits. That’s why I love swing dresses like the one I’m wearing here! They’re simple, comfortable and super cute. Occasionally I like to be a little more daring, but it can be intimidating. I admire people who choose to be bold with their style choices on an everyday basis so much!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of one day working in the fashion industry, but I never knew how it could actually be made a reality until I came to college. Now, I can’t wait to see all of the awesome work I can produce incorporating fashion, communication, and maybe even some film!
I can’t wait to share my love of fashion with all of you guys this fall and I’m anxious to see what other ideas the rest of the Style Gurus bring to the table as well!
