Hey there guys! My name is Toni Sichel, I’m a sophomore at Temple University majoring in advertising with a minor in psychology. Don’t mind me as I sit here astonished at how this is my THIRD Style Guru Bio for CollegeFashionista. Being a Style Guru has helped me with not only my fashion sense and writing skills, but it has offered me countless opportunities to help me grow and thrive as a college student. I hope to continue that growth with another semester on the CollegeFashionista team, writing articles for you guys to learn from and enjoy!
Moving from a small town in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia was a culture shock to say the least. As I become more accustomed to the city lifestyle, my clothing style has definitely followed suit. If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about city Fashionistas and Fashionistos, it is their willingness to be bold and experiment with funky pieces that you don’t see everyday. I truly believe this outgoingness has rubbed off on me in more ways than one, but one thing is for sure—I definitely have broken out of my shell when it comes to the clothing pieces I purchase and wear.
A patterned cardigan is a staple that’s a standout piece no matter what I’m wearing. The unique pattern gives off a bold statement and really livens up more simple pieces for a day out in the city. T-shirt dresses are just about the coolest thing since slice bread this season. My black T-shirt dress works in any season, if it’s colder I just add tights and with warmer weather (like it’s been in this crazy December here in Philly) I can wear it on its own or with some knee-high socks. Adding on to that, black boots are always a crowd favorite with a plethora of different styles. I usually top things off with something like red lipstick and my personalized name necklace to add my own personal flair to my ensembles, and I’m ready for the day!
Never be scared to experiment with new styles and trends. It is my hope that within my articles I can provide easy ways to incorporate unique and daring pieces into your everyday look. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone, so what are you waiting for? Get out there and show the world how to put the “you” in beautiful! Oh almost forgot, don’t forget to check out my articles every month right here on CollegeFashionista!
