Hey there! My name is Vanessa, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Guru Gang this semester. I recently moved up to Tallahassee from Miami to pursue my degree in public relations at Florida State University. I have seen so many Fashionistas around campus during my first semester in college and I cannot wait to share some of my favorite looks with you all.
I would describe my style as simple and mostly neutral with the occasional colorful pattern. To me, effortlessness is essential to great style, therefore, comfort and versatility are the key.
For this article, I wanted to wear a colorful piece and tone it down with neutral accessories. I’m dressed in a feminine, floral dress with slight bellow sleeves. I kept the focus on the dress by wearing no jewelry and a strappy gray bralette underneath.
I wanted to bring out the bright flowers incorporated in the pattern by keeping the rest of the outfit completely neutral, so for accessories I added sheer gray tights to keep me warm from the mild Florida winter.
Lastly, I decided to wear black velvet booties to pull the whole look together. Honestly, I have been wearing them non-stop this season. They instantly add an edge to any outfit and make it instantly more chic.
I am so lucky to work for CollegeFashionista this semester. I am so excited to share incredible outfits with you this semester. I hope they inspire you and help you add some great pieces to your closet.
