When we think about colder months (I know, summer is just starting but one has to plan ahead), we usually grab our darker toned clothes and maybe throw a black jacket or parka on top of our outfit without even thinking about it. At the end of the day, we are going to take our coats off once we reach class, home, the office or wherever it is we are heading.
Tomas Maier wants us to reflect on our actions. Why are we doing this? Do we really need to wear black on black when it is already cold and dark outside? He says NO! Why don’t we wear warmer, brighter colors that will make us feel better and will brighten up the general atmosphere of colder days? In his 2017 resort collection for Bottega Veneta, Maier was all about the brightly colored coats, and I love it!
This fall (and why not winter) he wants us to wear bright, fun, happy colors; and I could not agree any more! Wearing bright colors when heading to class will make the walk better, I guarantee it. Remember when you were a kid and had the happiest, most fun coat? Well, we are all kids on the inside, right? So just bring out that gorgeous coat you always liked but were not sure about wearing. Now is the perfect time and Tomas Maier wants you to know that!
