The A-line silhouette is my favorite silhouette, primarily because I love wearing flared skirts and dresses in the summer. With this silhouette, I can show off my long legs and my shoulders, which are my favorite features on my body. This type of silhouette looks incredible with my figure, and who doesn’t love showing off and feeling amazing in the perfect flattering outfit?
One upcoming trend for this fall season is A-line silhouettes. One collection that inspired my look was the Carven fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Mid-thigh hemlines and flared skirts consist of the majority of the collection, along with their attempted electrolyzed look. The electrolyzed look the collection was going for is demonstrated through the bright pink color in my skirt. Another collection that inspired my look was Paco Rabanne’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, which also featured his signature A-line silhouette. The high neck in the tops and dresses cause the tip of the A-line silhouette to be more pronounced while the flared skirts and dresses finish off the A-line.
I wore a necklace to add some of my personal flair to this fabulous runway look. The necklace really enriched the overall outfit because the color matches the skirt. I loved the way it effortlessly wrapped around my neck with my high neckline. Additionally, the silver bracelets went well with the top and they added sparkle to make the runway designs look more like my personal style. The ankle booties contributed to the final touches of the runway look. The booties are not too high, which is perfect for summer. Sandals would not be appropriate, given that the inspired collections did not feature sandals.
Get My Look: 1. High neck top that is either long sleeve or short sleeve. 2. A flared thigh-high skirt. 3. A pair of ankle booties.
