A huge part of the way that I dress is layering. No matter what season it is, you can find me in a jacket, cardigan or kimono. I love layering because it always adds an extra element to your outfit, and there is so much outerwear in the world, so why not use it!
If I’ve learned anything over the past few years, is to dress to your own personal comfort level. Especially when the weather is warm, wear loose and flowy clothing that you won’t feel sticky and gross in. Wearing flowy clothing is a comfortable and popular trend this time of year with the weather being so warm, and because it’s so broad, you can put your own spin on it!
My personal style is pretty simple, but I love to add accessories, like sunglasses and a kimono to give the outfit more life and less bland. I have a slight obsession with sunglasses; I tend to lean more towards circle frames, and mirrored lenses and I find that those always complete an outfit. For this look I used inspiration from Gucci Spring 2016 Menswear Collection. I really liked the how the clothing just floated right down the runway: you could really tell just how flowy the clothing is. The collection has more of a bright feel with the light colors and florals seen throughout the collection.
When I wear kimonos I like them big and long, I just love the way the wind blows through them!
