There’s nothing more classic than a good striped shirt. If you want to put a little twist on your summer wardrobe there’s an easy way to do that. By mixing a classic striped shirt with bold colors and even more stripes you can instantly change up your look.
Inspired by the J.Crew 2016 spring ready-to-wear show, I put a nice twist on the classic striped T-shirt. They used bold color accessories and shoes to add a nice pop to a timeless pattern. J.Crew also paired stripes with a gingham pattern putting a much more bold look to a simple style choice. By mixing patterns it brings a trendier feel to pieces that will never go out of style.
I like to keep things classic, so I like to pair a basic striped shirt with solid bottoms, shoes and accessories. I make this look unique by mixing and matching bold and bright colors that you usually wouldn’t pair together. Being able to use the basic pieces that I already have in my closet is so important to me so by adding a pop of color I was able to complete this look.
In my look I pair a black and white striped knit sweater with bold color shoes. I used classic pieces in my closet to mix colors in order to complete the look of the J.Crew collection. By pairing hot pink shorts with bright yellow sandals I am able to really bring a different feel to my outfit. It was a simple and easy change but really made my outfit stand out.
