I love fall! I love drinking hot apple cider, I love the fresh New England air and I love how the crisp foliage crunches under my feet. But, my absolute favorite thing about fall is that you can take a classic all-black look and add some accents of color to create that warm fall feeling.
My look is inspired by Alexander McQueen’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. This collection is fixated on structure, yet visually stimulating pieces. By using a lot of leather and delicately detailed pieces, McQueen brings a vigorating perspective on the all-black look. My favorite piece of the collection would have to be the white fur black textured leather trench coat.
My look is inspired by the black and accented burgundy pieces of McQueen’s collection. Draped over a Free People black tank top, is the cocoon wool coat by Wilfred. I am obsessed with this coat not only because it is so warm, but I love the leather sleeves. If you are looking for a warmer fall coat, I would definitely recommend investing in a wool one. Another fall essential is a solid pair of tall boots. Tall boots not only keep you warmer, but they are also great because you can even wear a pair of cropped leggings! These burgundy boots are one of my favorites because maroon goes with absolutely everything. To finish off my look and to keep myself warm, I sport the mixed stripes blanket scarf by Wilfred. Blanket scarfs are so versatile and can pull together any outfit. This all-black with a couple accented colors look is not only comfortable but also super easy to recreate.
