During the fall/winter 2015-2016 fashion shows, we saw on the catwalk how a few designers brought the punk rock scene back into the equation. Most of the time I’m a super girly/preppy kind of Fashionista but I like to wear the occasional leather jacket or leather pants. This look was inspired by the fall/winter 2015-2016 Saint Laurent show. In this collection, we saw a good amount of leather jackets, skirts and pants. There was a particular look that inspired my outfit. The model was wearing leather pants with a striped sweater and a blazer.
They said that this collection is ready-to-wear however, most of us wouldn’t go out the door looking like that. Therefore, I translated this look into my own wardrobe by making it more me. I got this chunky sweater at a local store and the minute I saw it I fell in love with it because it has such a great cut! Most of the time I wouldn’t wear something that’s so loose, but the moment I put it on I knew I had to have it. I made this an all black look to make it more “punk rock.” And I added the hat for an extra touch of glam. Also, I’m wearing all of my warm clothes while I can because it’s about to start getting really hot over here in Mexico. That kind of sucks  because my favorite clothes are fall and winter ones.
This time I chose to wear this with my favorite black booties, although if you want to dress it down a little bit, you can definitely wear it with white Converse and without the hat. That would be a perfect lazy day outfit for class! Don’t you think?
You know what they say….”women who wear black lead colorful lives.”
