I have mentioned before that I am kind of a color hater—yes, you read that right—in my world, black is best. It goes with everything, is incredibly slimming, and overall makes you look 10 times cooler when wearing it.
This outfit is pretty standard for me; it is simple but makes enough of a statement to where people will remember it. I love dressing in simple T-shirts and jeans but spicing them up with some great accessories.
These dark wash Paige jeans have been a staple in my wardrobe for quite some time now, just like this black Free People T-shirt. They can be worn together or with a million other things. Regardless, you will look like a rockstar no matter what you pair these with. Black booties are a must in a wardrobe, regardless of your style. I love these boots from Steve Madden because they look so simple from the front, but when you turn to the side, the cut out is revealed to add an unexpected touch.
Lately I have been really into layering necklaces, so this choker from Frasier Sterling, a bar necklace, and a dainty charm necklace are on repeat in my closet. Whoever doesn’t like to mix metals is seriously disturbed. To top it off, I decided to add this utility jacket that I have had for years now. I know it isn’t black, but it is neutral enough in my book to still make it through my constant closet purging. If you are in the market for a new jacket, get a utility style one—you won’t regret it.
If you are looking to spice up your style, try going for a monochromatic look; you may be surprised at just how much you like it.
