Details are what make an ordinary outfit unique. They’re what we use every day to dress up an outfit or dress it down, to make a statement, or to add extra personality to an outfit. Details aren’t always just accessories; they can be a color choice, a pattern, or just a way of styling something that makes it pop.
A simple outfit like this can easily go unnoticed. However, by adding small details such as a pop of color in the shirt under the cardigan, you can draw more attention to the look. Even though this outfit mostly plays with neutral tones, adding a burnt orange shirt gives it the little bit of color that it was lacking. Cardigans are one of my favorites because unlike sweaters, you can take them off when it starts to warm up in the middle of the day and put them back on when it starts to get chilly again! The pockets are a nice little detail that’s extra comfy and convenient to throw your phone or something in too.
Accessories are a great way to add extra style to an outfit as well. This choker adds a little bit of edginess to this casual look. Chokers are really trendy right now, and they can be worn with any kind of outfit. Whether you’re going for a casual look or dressing up a bit, a choker can complete your look. I really like the kinds that you can wrap around your neck or tie, since they allow you to be more creative and change up your look! Ankle boots are also really versatile, especially in black. By adding a little bit of a heel, your outfit automatically “steps up” its game a little bit. A pair of basic black boots are an essential in every Fashionista’s closet, since they can also be dressed up or down with almost any look. These little details are what make an outfit so stylish and special.
