I have always had a fascination for printed bottoms. Whether it’s pants, skirts, shorts or even skorts, I always prefer my bottoms to be the focal point of my outfits because it’s easy to add a simple T-shirt or tank and create a super cute outfit.
My current outfit was inspired by Burberry’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection. After reading about this collection and looking through the pictures, I couldn’t get mind off of the ’70s bohemian prints that were used in most of the ensembles. They also showed a lot of outfits with sequin details on them, which was just a bonus if you ask me! But to tone down the looks and give it more of that ’70s feel, they added oversized jackets. For most of the outfits, they wore black ankle boots so that attention would not be drawn away from the rest of the looks.
For my outfit, I started with my bohemian patterned skort, which I am currently obsessed with. Even though a lot of people seem to not be back on board with the skort relapse, I don’t really see why it ever went away! Since there was so much going on in the skort already, I decided go with a simple tan mock-neck tank top and then I added a denim jacket for that tom-boy feel that was also seen in the Burberry collection. As far as accessories for my outfit, I kept it pretty simple. I wore a couple statement rings, my round sunglasses and my go-to black ankle boots.
Get My Look: 1. Skort. 2. Mock-neck tank. 3. Denim jacket. 4. Ankle boots.
