Bomber jackets are not just a current trend they actually go back to the ’40s. They were designed for World War II pilots who needed outerwear do to the high altitude. Since the ’40s they have been altered to fit the current situation. The B-15 jacket is closest to what is in style currently, it was worn by MA-1 Bombers. In the late ’60s this bomber jacket was worn by rebels “punks,” which is why it adds an edgy look to your outfit. I bet you didn’t know there could be that much history behind a cute jacket!
I paired with this jacket from Forever 21 with a simple black shirt that I found at American Eagle Outfitters. Since the jacket has a slight shine it pairs well with a simple black flowy top. I decided to wear blue jeans, but the jacket and black top would pair well with just about anything! They are simple enough to be paired easily but also makes you look very trendy.
The purse I chose is small and doesn’t overdo the outfit but also holds its own. It is a bit edgy with the hardware on the straps although the white color and small size simplifies it. Of course I’m in the city so having good walking shoes is important. It isn’t always easy to find cute in style walking shoes but I found the perfect pair at Steve Madden. To make them even comfier they sell socks that don’t show with that specific shoe. This outfit all together is pretty simple but has enough edgy details to elevate the outfit as a whole.
