In my fashion class last semester, I learned that fashion is cyclical. Everything we have worn in the past, will come back to the runways in the future. For example, leggings were huge part of everyone’s closet in the ‘80s and now in the 21st century, you can’t walk out the door with out seeing at least 30 people in them.
For my look, I was inspired by M Missoni spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I have always admired M Missoni because of their colorful zigzag prints and gorgeous clothes. For this collection, I was in love with their wide-leg printed pants, which reminded me of a ‘70s revival.
Even though I did not live through the ‘70s myself, I have always admired bell-bottom jeans, but was never quite able to pull it off. For me, the best way to embrace this style was through bell-bottom printed pants. When I first tried on these Jaase pants, I fell in love. I am obsessed with the amazing paisley print and how they flare out into a wide leg at the bottom. I can honestly say they are the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever purchased.
To balance out the busy pants, I wore a loose cream laced tank from C&C California. This tank draws your eye to the pants and makes them stand out, which was my ultimate goal.
For my shoes, I decided a small wedge would be perfect because the pants have such a wide-leg. I chose my favorite pair of wedges, which are by Michael Kors, and appropriately wore my Michael Kors rose gold watch to stick with the Michael Kors theme. The watch is the perfect accessory for this look because it is not too much but does not leave my wrists bare.
This look is probably one of my favorites. It is the perfect transition from summer to fall and it is super easy to pull off! It can be worn for any occasion and is on trend!
