Over this winter break, being that I haven’t been running around like crazy as I do at school, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on the past year, my plans going forward, my goals and of course, what I am going to be wearing in the New Year. So far this year, I have noticed that I am a lover of many different styles. Choosing just one to live by wasn’t something that I found easy to do, but since I felt like I had to at least try to label my style, I chose to go with casual yet chic.
The Givenchy fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection has a lot of pieces that I was able to translate into my everyday casual-chic look. Blazers were a key piece in this collection. I like clothes to be a little loose with some room to breath, so an oversized blazer is perfect for me. I love mixing something basic and casual like a white T-shirt and jeans with something structured and sophisticated like a blazer or jacket.
This collection also featured pointed toe boots, and since I have yet to add those to my extensive collection of shoes, I went with neutral pointed toe flats. Givenchy also featured large chunky statement pieces, which I tried to reflect in my tassel necklace. I love this look because of how versatile this outfit can be. I dressed it down for class with flats and light makeup, but you could totally spice up this look with pumps and some bright lipstick for a night out.
