Ralph Lauren once said: “Fashion is not necessarily about labels. It’s not about brands. It’s about something else that comes from within you.”
Let’s face it; the boho trend is here to stay for many more seasons. Even back in my middle school days I was a fan of the boho style. I remember going to school in peasant tops, colorful maxi-skirts, and wrap headbands. Now that the boho trend has evolved, I am proud to say that I am still a huge fan. So needless to say, when I first saw Anna Sui’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I was head over heals. Anna’s collection, filled with colorfully vibrant prints, earthy tones, and mixed textures, is a boho lover’s dream.
Now don’t get me wrong, I do love Anna Sui, but she definitely can leave a huge dent in you wallet; which is why when styling this Anna Sui-inspired outfit, I kept every item in a college friendly budget. I started off with a pair of neutral boho harem pants. To add some difference in texture, like the looks in Sui’s collection, I paired it with a silk top in a boho-inspired print. I chose a simple pair of leather sandals to also add a different texture to the outfit. A set of mixed stacked bangles finish off the look.
The great thing about boho is the endless possibilities. Feel free to play with matching different prints, textures and colors to create a look that is totally and uniquely you.
