Black and white and fur all over. That would be the best way to describe the Louis Vuitton fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection that debuted at Paris Fashion Week. With 48 different looks on the runway, there were some variations, of course. Not everything was composed of all blacks and whites. Metallics, jacquards and pastels were also sprinkled throughout the show. However, I was most inspired by the overarching theme of black and white with furry textures, specifically look two and look 47.
Looks two and 42 both included streamlined skirts and chunky tops in black and white. To work with the the changing of the seasons and with the items I already have in my closet, I went for a more springtime look. I paired a black pleated skirt with a fuzzy white cropped sweater to mimic the color scheme and silhouette of the Louis Vuitton looks. The fuzzy sweater that I donned is much more lightweight than fur or faux fur, but still warm enough for the chilly weather that is common in early spring. The fuzzy finish has a similar look to a fur texture while being much more casual and appropriate for this time of year.
On my feet, I wore one of my favorite pairs of ankle booties. The Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear collection had almost every model wearing a pair of pointed toe ankle booties, so I though I would do the same! I tried to keep accessories to a minimum and stick within the black and white color scheme, so I added a black leather fringe bucket bag and a gold tassel necklace to complete my look.
Get My Look: 1. A black skirt. 2. Furry white cropped sweater. 3. Pointed-toe ankle booties.
