The fall 2015 ready-to-wear MSGM fashion show perfectly captured a mix of colors, textures and high fashion. The show featured textured coats, clashing colors and an overwhelming appearance of navy blue paired with black. This overarching trend has become one of fall’s hottest trends and is making its way into spring!
Navy blue used to be one of my least favorite colors until I came upon a pair of navy blue riding pants at American Apparel that I could not pass up! I decided to pair these with a predominantly black accent color and was pleasantly surprised to find that this trend is one of my favorites!
I also purchased my black and white long sleeved crop top from American Apparel. Its black lips graphic pattern and edgy flare add a great accent to my outfit. I layered a Painted Threads black knitted sweater over my crop top and completed my look with an Urban Outfitters cat watch.
The textures of my ribbed riding pants and knitted sweater both contrast and augment my ensemble. This mixing of textures is perfect for a look especially in the winter and give my outfit a multidimensional look.
My favorite accessory in this look is my zeroUV sunglasses. Their round frames air accented with an eyelash cat-eye effect. Their unique design and neutral color are the perfect addition to any ensemble.
Navy blue and black are two colors that I wouldn’t think to pair together, but the MSGM runway show inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone and into fall trends.
