Spring has sprung! Wait…just kidding. For most Fashionistas and Fashionistos in college, the spring semester begins in January. That means we have to put up with one or two (or three or four, depending on where you live) more months of cold weather before we can shed our jackets and break out our spring wardrobes! It’s even been chilly here in Florida and I have had to unearth my jeans and sweaters from the back of my closet.
It’s hard to stay stylish when it’s freezing outside, but I think that classic color combinations are perfect to wear in the cold months because they look aesthetically pleasing. White is one of my favorite colors to wear in winter. I was very inspired by the white and black looks from the pre-fall 2016 BCBGMAXAZRIA collection, especially this look. Overall, the collection was multifaceted. It was fun and playful, yet chic and elegant. The collection included many looks that could be perfect winter attire.
I took visual cues from the show by pairing a fuzzy white sweater with my favorite pair of black jeans. To add visual interest, many of the looks from the show were paired with metallic accessories. Some of the clothes even had subtle metallic accents. For my look, I chose to add a necklace that contained gold, silver and bronze, and my favorite pair of bronze Birkenstocks.
Get My Look: 1. A white fuzzy sweater. 2. A classic pair of black skinny jeans. 3. A statement metallic necklace. 4. Metallic Birkenstock sandals.
