What’s black, white and sheer all over? Louis Vuitton’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. This spring is all about this bold, yet delicate trend. Even though it’s hard to think about spring with chilling temperatures here in the Midwest, it will soon be right around the corner. Louis Vuitton’s fashion forecast for this upcoming spring is predicting a goodbye to pastels (thank goodness), and a hello to modernity this year. I mean, it isn’t easy pulling off pastel, this will give us all a well-needed break.
Also, this runway show gets me excited for this upcoming spring, because it is nothing like I’ve seen before. Artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière keeps the delicate and pretty look of spring with subtle sheer accents, but with a nice twist of the bold black and classic white.
This runway look inspired me to create a new look for you guys. I took my main inspiration from a look modeled by Emmy Rappe. I absolutely loved the contrast of the black bralette with the light and airy white top. For my top, I switched it up by pairing a white semi-sheer blouse with a black lace bralette. I made this an everyday look by adding cuffed dark wash jeans and black leather booties.
To make the look more polished, I added some fun accessories like my favorite circle leather purse and fun wide brim hat to add more personality to my outfit. This outfit creates the perfect transition look for the last few winter months to the upcoming warm spring.
Get My Look: 1. A lace up blouse. 2. A pair of dark wash jeans. 3. A lacey bralette.
