After New York Fashion Week, Instagram has been exploding with beautiful photos of runway inspiration from my favorite fashion designers and bloggers. I love almost every single bohemian piece I have ever laid my eyes on, so I was most captivated by Rachel Zoe’s entire spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. The effortless beauty, earth tones and tassel trend apparent in her collection have me moving through fall and winter to those warm spring days when I can recreate her dreamy looks.
The tassel trend throughout Rachel Zoe’s collection is what really stood out to me in her presentation. Although I don’t have tassel adorned pieces in my closet (yet), I have plenty of pieces with fringe details. In this outfit, I wanted to show that it is super easy to take inspiration from runway looks or put your own spin on a current trend.
Since the tassels, fringe and earth tones stood out to me, I chose a copper colored tank top with tie sides to give off a similar vibe. I paired it with white jeans that can easily be swapped for a cream or brown suede skirt to take the look from day to night. I kept my jewelry very minimal—rings only—to reflect the look in her collection. Since fall weather is quickly approaching here in Michigan, I kept my cream fringe wrap on hand to cover my shoulders later in the day. I finished the look with my favorite bohemian sandals to keep the look consistent and effortless. Tousled waves and natural, smokey eyes will only add to the look, so have fun with it!
