One of the best parts of the clothing industry is the endless variety of color choices. I often find my color preferences changing when it comes to clothing. As I said in my STYLE GURU BIO, I wake up and pick out an outfit depending on what version of myself I want to be that day. One of the most important factors in the decision is the color palette. Do I want to go with the girly pastels or maybe the bold neons? Recently I’ve found myself gravitating towards the deeper/darker colors, such as maroon, black, navy blue or burnt orange. I’ve fallen in love with the Anna Sui resort 2016 runway show. The mixture of flowy tops, floral prints, draped maxi skirts and kimonos (all things boho), paired with the deeper/darker colors has my name written all over it!
I was inspired by the color palette of this runway show. I feel an odd sense of empowerment when I wear colors similar to those featured in this show. This look really caught my eye as something I would love to try out (girl on left). I wanted to try and recreate the simple, yet cute floral pattern and flow of the altogether outfit. While rummaging through my closet. I came across the perfect shirt. The colors were perfectly matched with the Anna Sui color pallet and it had the similar floral print design. I decided to pair the off the shoulder top with a cute, pleated maxi skirt. To add my own boho touch, I added a floppy black hat to help really bring the look together. I finished off my Ann Sui inspired look by choosing a simple gold chain necklace and chunky brown sandals!
