While we were lucky enough to enjoy a long summer, fall has unfortunately arrived. However, this isn’t entirely bad news because fall definitely has the best fashion options. Layers are my best friends and transitional pieces, like lighter jackets, help to make fall a fantastic time.
Bomber jackets have recently gained popularity and with all of the different colors and styles available, there is a bomber for everyone. For this outfit I started with a black bodysuit and layered a jewel-toned bomber jacket over it. Bodysuits are so comfortable and a plain black one is extremely versatile, making this one a newly acquired staple piece for me.
The silky, maroon bomber jacket helps to break up an otherwise monochrome outfit. I was drawn to this bomber in particular because of its gold hardware, which I felt gave it a little extra edge. Accessory-wise I threw on a simple choker and a pair of stud earrings. I tied my hair up with a scrunchie to keep it out of my face. I kept my makeup simple with a winged liner and a metallic lip from Lime Crime. This lipstick helped to add a small pop of color while complementing my jacket.
I wanted the bomber to be the main focus of my outfit so I kept everything else as simple as I could.
To finish off this look, I threw on my classic adidas Superstars and headed out the door. This outfit is perfect for many different occasions including going to class, running errands or even just lounging around the house. This is a great outfit for the time between summer and fall because the jacket is lightweight, but if it gets hot you have the option to take it off.
