One look that has spread like wildfire recently is the choker. At Versace’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear runway show the amount of chokers the models were sporting was outstanding. From thick to thin, black to neon yellow, the chokers were prevalent amongst every outfit. This year is starting off by showing the neck some attention which is why I incorporated this black choker in my look. To create this choker, I took a black string from a pair of pants and simply tied it around my neck to imitate the look of a chic Versace black choker!
Another huge trend this season is a comfortable statement bomber jacket. This Alpha Industries sage green jacket does all the talking as it contrasts against my ripped black skinny jeans. I chose to wear black skinny jeans to balance my body shape against the thicker bomber jacket. I paired a graphic T-shirt underneath the bomber jacket to give the look some character, whole avoiding clashing with the more bold pieces.
I chose to stick with Ray-Ban aviators to continue with the military vibes this outfit was portraying. In order to draw more attention to the choker necklace I chose to put my hair in a high Hailey Baldwin-esque ponytail. I stuck to colors like black, sage and white to go along with the neutral trend that has been popular throughout 2016, especially during the winter. Lastly to maintain some femininity in this outfit I wore my Tory Burch booties to give myself some height.
