This week, a unique fashion brand struck my eye. The A.P.C. spring 2015 ready-to-wear show stood out to me more than most. Unlike several of the high fashion brands, A.P.C. seemed to be modeling clothes that the average citizen would actually wear. The collection wasn’t full of futuristic outfits or the extremely over the top looks that virtually nobody will wear. According to style.com, “A.P.C. is the thinking woman’s and man’s fashion brand. They are a maker of essential clothes, rather than frivolous ones.”
That is why this collection really caught my eye.That being said I took that inspiration and channeled it into my outfit. My outfit was inspired from look 11 in the A.P.C. spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The outfit is simple yet sleek and can be worn to formal or casual events. It is a modest gray dress that lands a little above the knee. The dress is not form fitting but lays comfortably on the body. To add a little bit more structure to the dress, a belt can be added around the waist to accentuate curves. To spice up the outfit, I added some accessories. I wore a combination of a black bracelet and a silver watch with some silver rings as well. Lastly, to top off the outfit, I wore a pair of black booties with a slight heel.
This spring 2015 ready-to-wear look taught me that sometimes less is more. You don’t need an extravagant outfit or jewelry to look nice. Sometimes a simple gray dress is all you need!
