I am a strong believer that street style gives the runway a new attitude. From the colors to the prints, street style is taking over the way that everyone looks at fashion. In my outfit I took inspiration from Chanel’s 2017 resort collection. Chanel is always one step ahead in the street style game and proved it with this collection. The line had the perfect amount street style, day to night.
For my outfit, I tried to incorporate Chanel’s street style into a more clean cut look. I added some of my own favorite pieces from some this summer’s hottest trends, including the choker. To me a choker is a staple piece to any outfit, you can add one to make your outfit look more grunge or just to add a little detail.
Chanel started out their color scheme with the all simple black and white, but the color seemed to blossom as the show went on. While this collection has pieces that go from day looks and night looks, one thing Chanel always does is looks that can be transformed from day to night. That is where my inspiration from this collection came from.
Another thing that I loved about this collection is how flowy the collection seemed to be. These are the parts of the collection that I decided to incorporate into my outfit. I chose to incorporate the black and white color scheme into my outfit, with a pop of red lip to prove that this look outfit can go from day to night just like that. I chose to center my outfit around my favorite pair of printed pants, I added these platforms to give it a little bit of edge. I paired the pants with a simple white crop top, my favorite thing about these pants is that you can pair it with a black, white or grey top!
I decided to add a little bit of detail to this outfit just like Chanel did in their collection. I started out with my favorite choker, next I added this wide rimmed hat, I grabbed the hat in inspiration to the Chanel collection. Lastly for my hands I paired a set of rings from Forever 21.
