When life puts you into a rad melting pot like America, you’ve gotta be proud to wear your colors, stars and stripes! The summer is filled with holidays like Memorial Day, Flag Day and of course the Fourth of July; what better way to show recognition than sporting your patriotism?
Now I’m not saying that we all have to go over the top, but I love adding tiny details; a red bandana reminds me of Rosie the Riveter and a time in our country when women did the dirty work! Although I always love that touch of Americana, I’ve recently been obsessing over the Hermes spring ready-to-wear collection because of its solid hues. The pieces are perfect to pair with eccentric accessories or bling.
When picking out this outfit, I started with the pants. These culottes from Nicole Miller are essential for hot summer days because they’re so breezy! I constantly find new ways to rock them whether it be with a graphic T-shirt or a fancy blouse like this white one! To keep my outfit dressed up, but have the ability to be out and about all day, I paired the outfit with these black, lace-up block heels. They’re surprisingly comfortable and get so many compliments.
Of course I had to add some color and some pride to my outfit, so I grabbed a red bandana and tied it around my neck. I then added gold and silver jewelry to make the whole look more effortless. Because one bandana isn’t enough, I tied another one around my handbag and was on my way!
Get My Look: 1. A fancy blouse. 2. Super breezy culottes. 3. A rad pair of block heels.
