One’s own style is a combination of the many influences that person experiences in their life on an everyday basis. Since I am such a fashion feign I also go out looking for my inspirations, in magazine clippings, runway shows and of course personal blogs. This week’s inspiration came from Tome’s Australia spring 2015 runway show.
What caught my attention in this show was the sleek and sophistication that is represented through all of the garments. The black and white combination happens to be my absolute favorite look. The combination of the two most basic of colors, brought together even though they clash is a beauty. They balance each other out and give the appearance of a clean cut and organized appearance. Overall this show displayed various layering possibilities, new color combinations, and endless amounts of inspiration.
Keeping the inspiration I so generously received from Tome’s runway show I coordinated this outfit for special family event I was attending that week. Continuing the look from the line, I limited my color options to black and white. A short spaghetti strap romper did the trick, when layered properly with a sleek and appropriate white blazer. I accented this outfit with a black tote bag and matching black flats. Additionally, I wore a few bracelets and a variety of rings. A consistent pattern I noticed in this show was a slender piece of fabric covering the neck of every model, a scarf of sorts made out of the fabrics represented in the show. This choice by the designer pushed me to wear a bold statement piece around my neck to finish off my outfit. One difference, I chose to use a gold piece instead of a black or white one in order to match the design on my shoes.
