Hey y’all! Winter is here, but it has been a lot warmer than expected. Of course, I can’t wait to break out the winter coats, but I decided to take advantage of the last few warm days we have left in Georgia. My featured look this month was inspired by Tom Ford’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The collection featured structured layers, faux fur and killer statement jewelry.
I love structure, whether it’s a jacket or a handbag, so there was no denying the opportunity to incorporate it into my look. I opted for a black lapel vest with gold accents and a fur collar. My favorite thing about this vest is its tailored appearance because it automatically dresses up any outfit. Structured suit separates are masculine and effortless. Every girl should have at least one of these pieces in her closet. I layered it on top of a black basic T-shirt and leather leggings. Tom Ford’s show featured patterned bottoms, but I really wanted the vest to be the main point of focus, so I went with a monochromatic look. For shoes, I chose thigh-high boots because I liked the layering of the suede boot on top of the shiny, faux leather legging. It’s monochromatic, but the different textures still help each item stand out. As far as jewelry goes, I take advantage when I get the chance to wear my dramatic pieces, so that explains my earrings choice. Then, I simply layered on some of my favorite bangles and a watch.
I hope everyone enjoyed my post and can find some kind of inspiration!
