Okay, seriously where has the summer gone? I feel like I just finally finished unpacking everything from school and now it’s time to pack everything up again to go back. With the warm weather coming to an end all too fast, what better way to finish your summer than with some fun jewelry and a striped dress? I love this look because it’s so cute yet so effortless at the same time.
This look was inspired by Tommy Hilfiger’s 2017 resort collection. The casual off-the-shoulder style of the dress that I am wearing is one similar to a denim dress seen in the collection. The color scheme from Tommy Hilfiger’s collection is also where I got the style inspiration for my look. In my look, I’m mainly wearing blue and white. Throughout most of Tommy Hilfiger’s collection, he also uses mostly blue, white and red as well.
A dress like this can be worn in so many different ways. I chose to dress it up with gold jewelry and wedges. However, it can also be dressed down by wearing a pair of cute sneakers or by throwing on an oversized denim jacket or simply tying it around your waist.
Stripes will always be a classic look. Mostly everyone has something with blue and white stripes in their closet. The off-the-shoulder detail of this dress is what adds to the look overall, keeping it classic but adding a modern and more relevant twist.
