Mixtures of fur, denim and kimonos were most of the common pieces in Gucci’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The mixture of soft, silky textures allowed for a vintage feel to each look. However, the styling of them added that modern touch that is perfectly in trend right now.
For my look, I took inspiration from the runway show mixing a combination of fur and denim. To start I added a leather fur vest. This is a recent purchase of mine from Target. When I saw it on the rack I had to have it. It’s so different from anything else I have in my closet at the moment. I had my eye out for one, so when I found this one I just had to buy it. I added dark washed skinny jeans from American Eagle Outfitters to pair with it. With the vest, I added a simple gray long sleeved shirt so that the vest would be able to stand out. For accessories, I added a simple long necklaces, bracelets and a pair of brown heels booties.
This look also features my new short hair cut which I am loving. It’s so much easier to manage and I love creating new hair styles with it. I feel like this look has that combination of soft textures that are more vintage, but with the way I styled them allow it to fit and be in trend today. It still is very vintage with the pieces but very modern all at the same time.
