The spring semester has officially begun! It’s time to rock those fancy threads around campus. Over the years my style has changed significantly and from a young age I knew I wanted to start experimenting with it. Around my sophomore year of high school is when I would say I finally got a hold on what type of looks I wanted to display. Since then I haven’t looked back.
I would describe my every day style as edgy and chic. A few of my favorite fashion icons would be Solange Knowles, Zendaya, and Rihanna. I appreciate their use of layering and I love how their styles are always new and fresh. As I experience fashion more hands-on I tend to go through style phases of different decades. Seventies fashion is what I’m loving at the moment!
Around this time of the year my style usually consists of urban looks with a lot of layering and dark earth tones. My favorite piece that I am wearing is a long line olive bomber jacket that makes any outfit stand out. Under that I paired a slip dress over top of a turtleneck. This is one of my favorite trends right now. Last but not least to tie this outfit together I’m wearing my favorite leather booties.
Whether I’m going to school, out with friends, or to the grocery store my style depends on my mood and I tend to keep it versatile. If I’m wearing sweats and sneakers or a dress and heels I always try to include a statement piece to make it edgy!
