Today I am excited to show all of you Style Gurus one of my own styles. This style includes a personal favorite of mine, which is also an upcoming trend this spring season; khaki.
Everyone knows what khaki is, and has most likely owned some kind of piece that integrates this color. Although your mind might immediately race to cargo and khaki pants, there are a multitude of other ways in which this design is used. Trench coats, vests, and just regular jackets; there are an array of choices. My personal favorite being a simple jacket. Adding this piece to an all-black outfit is bound to be a killer look.
In the outfit that I am wearing, I included a khaki jacket that I purchased from Forever 21, which has a longer look to it, giving it an oversize feeling. Underneath, I wore a simple outfit which incorporated a pair of thick black leggings, which are essential in the cooler weather on campus, that I snagged from JCPenney. The long sleeve black T-shirt, which is flowy and has a looser look, was purchased from Old Navy. And too pull it all together I included a pair of tall black boots, which is a staple piece in any wardrobe. Lastly, I included a super chic medallion choker which was also purchased at Forever 21.
With a chilly breeze in the air, and many, many long walks to class on campus, this look will make you look stylish, while also being practical. Hop on this new trend, and show everyone on campus how you can rock your khaki!
