While most of us are too busy wiping the cobwebs off our coats to think about what we will be wearing in the spring, it is never too early to keep your closet looking brighter than the frightful weather outside. You might be all bundled up now, but before you know it, you’ll be shedding those layers once again!
Taking inspiration from Madewell’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I recreated their dazzling denim look for way less than the runway price. Madewell’s collection pairs many easy and wearable bohemian pieces that are easy translated into a comfortable everyday look rather than an impossibly unrealistic runway trend. The collection focuses on neutral tones paired with a few pastels to bring out the fine detailing of the garments.
I was able to translate this look into my own everyday wardrobe by simply taking a denim skirt and making it the main focus of the entire outfit. I kept my color scheme pretty dark, going for a dark wash denim skirt and pairing it with a black fringe top which displays the bohemian element Madewell uses to dress up their denim. I used my metallic bag from Topshop and my adidas to give the whole look more of a modern twist that you can wear running to class or right on the runway. Top the look off by adding another fun accessory like a pair of round lens sunglasses to elude to a minimalistic boho babe just like the models on the Madewell runway!
Get My Look: 1. A denim skirt. 2. Any bohemian-inspired top. 3. Round lens glasses.
