Paris Fashion Week has recently come to a close. Miu Miu’s autumn/winter ready-to-wear collection was by far one of my absolute favorite collections this season. The Miu Miu collection this fall inspired my look. From denim jackets, skirts and tops, it is clear that denim is constant throughout the entire collection.
Miu Miu also throws in the use of asymmetrical hemlines; I am loving this trend. It is the perfect way to add visual interest to an outfit without being over the top. My denim dress has an asymmetrical hemline and bell sleeves. The dress that I am wearing is a perfect transitioning piece from winter to spring because it has long sleeves but is breathable enough for when it gets hotter during the day.
March is the time of year when the seasons of winter and spring start to blend together temperature wise. Its cooler in the morning and evening, whereas mid-day it tends to feel warmer. Dresses are perfect for this time of year because they are a great stand alone piece but are also great to wear with layers. Throwing on a cardigan over a dress in the morning is perfect for when its chilly, and as soon as the day heats up its just as effortless to take off as it was to put on.
Miu Miu did a great job with the seemingly never ending debate on whether or not Paris Fashion Week should be considered autumn/winter. In the collection, we see cozy outfits as well as more springtime-appropriate attire. This is one of the reasons I loved this collection so much. Miu Miu broke the rules of Fashion Week, so to speak. The collection did not stay in the guidelines of classic autumn/winter wear. With this collection, Miu Miu displayed that it really is always springtime somewhere in the world.
