Summer nights and cold drinks are slowly coming to an end as the school semester gets us back into the swing of things. We are just trying to squeeze in last minute weekend roadies and family barbecues before buckling down with “studying” and those busy chapter meetings. But just because school is back in session doesn’t mean we should retire our favorite summer outfits! I’ll be completely honest, I have been obsessed with all things denim this summer—true, handmade denim.
Rough and tumbled is my go-to choice of design and I happen to have this #RAD pair of Levi’s I put through a rock tumbler to give it a personalized look, but you can find shredded Levi’s at Urban Outfitters. These babies are precious to me, so I keep them protected from anyone who wants to borrow. Sorry, friends! They are a statement piece so I added a feminine touch with an off-the-shoulder top and a killer H&M blazer that’s been with me through almost every job interview. It’s easy to get that cool girl effortless look in the summer, but add some denim and it’s immediate! Did anyone happen to catch an early look at Moschino’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear shirt-dress? It’s as amazing as it sounds.
One of the simplest outfits to put together is denim and a cute top. It’s easy to put together, casual enough for morning donuts and perfect to level up for date night. I can tell you right now that a well tailored orange blazer can and will get you some good looks. Have you seen anyone on campus with an orange blazer? I haven’t. But I sure enjoy being that person that can be bold enough to wear one!
