Who doesn’t love denim? It literally goes with everything. No matter what the season is, you can always rock something denim. It comes in so many different colors, shapes and washes. I am definitely a self-proclaimed denim junkie!
As I browsed through Assembly New York’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I couldn’t help but get inspired by the denim mini dress. And when I looked through A.L.C.’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection, I absolutely loved how Nike sneakers were paired with dresses. With my creative mind in overload, I couldn’t wait to take my inspirations and create my own version of these runway trends.
With denim being such a popular piece in the wardrobe, it can sometimes get a bit boring. So, my goal for this look was to recreate the runway trends with my own cool spin.
I quickly grabbed my long sleeved denim mini dress as the base of my outfit. A mini dress is perfect for the warmth of the spring weather, but is also convenient when it gets a bit breezy outside. Not only do I love denim, but I love Nike sneakers too! Hence, when I saw the chance to slip on my leather, olive colored Nike Air Max Thea sneakers I was beyond excited.
When it came down to accessories, I opted for my black faux fur scarf. This scarf comes in handy when the day gets a little chilly and it adds a luxurious feeling to a simple outfit. Gold accessories like my watch and disc earrings were definitely go-to items. My MAC Cyber lippie really made my recreation of these runway trends complete!
