Denim is the hot trend for spring 2015. Both Gucci and Michael Kors sent amazing full denim looks down the runway for their ready-to-wear spring 2015 collection. By the looks in both these runway shows we can tell that spring 2015 will be majorly influenced by the ‘70s. These throwback-inspired looks were reworked to fit into today’s fashion world by incorporating clean cut lines giving the vintage looks a clean, crisp feel. With the combination of denim sportswear along with minimalist styling the runway shows gave off an all-American good girl vibe which all Fashionistas/os could sport once in a while.
Inspired by the all-American look, I decided to go for the denim on denim. I chose to pair a dark wash motorcycle-style denim jacket with a dark wash pair of jeans. Instead of a traditional cut jean jacket I went with an edgier style denim jacket to mix my style along with those of the runway shows. Along with a crisp cream sweater this look keeps with the good girl look shown on the runway. To add more of my own personal style to this look I decided to incorporate a touch of the ’90s by adding a red buffalo plaid scarf and cream-colored combat boots. Another popular trend that I paired with this look is the bucket bag. This taupe bucket bag is great for year round use and will definitely continue to be popular for spring 2015.
