John Galliano is back to designing and declared it with his first Maison Martin Margiela spring 2015 couture collection. The show was filled with a fabulous mix of neutrals, luscious textures and the famed Margiela facemasks. I always look to Maison Martin Margiela for over the top designs that inspire me to take risks in my everyday college style.
I was truly inspired by look one which combines stripes, fur and a beige coat. Who knew I could have all my favorite trends in one outfit? I decided to raid my closet and experiment a bit to reinvent this look. My first instinct was to break out my beige J.Crew peacoat that I wear nonstop. I adore this peacoat because it has a menswear feel while giving a sense of structure and class to my outfit. Whether you are going out for coffee or taking a day trip to the city, a peacoat is your winter wardrobe bestie!
To complete my look, I grabbed my black and gray leggings and Pour La Victoire tote with faux fur accents. Since I am a denim lover, I chose to go the comfortable route with leggings. By opting for striped leggings, my outfit turned from lazy to chic in one easy step! Investing in a unique purse is an awesome addition to any outfit. I feel bold each time I wear this tote out because of the leather and fur combination. This is a trend I keep going back to this winter! For a little pick-me-up, I wore suede booties with a hint of gold. Don’t be afraid to wear luxe items everyday and not just on special occasions!
Get My Look: 1. A beige peacoat. 2. A faux fur handbag. 3. Striped leggings.
