If you’re anything like me, then you’re currently stuck in a sort of fashion limbo. It’s the awkward transition stage between summer and fall. We all have a longing to pile on those fall layers, but unfortunately we are still battling the summer heat. When I came across the Babyghost fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection I was immediately inspired by the volume and color. I knew I wanted to create a look inspired by this show, but I had to form one that was more appropriate for the current season.
Some of my favorite parts of this collection include the fluid materials and effortless layering. I can only imagine how these garments must have flowed on the runway! The blacks and neutrals mesh very well with the royal hues thrown in. Subtle patterns within the fabric added just the right amount of print without becoming overwhelming.
When I created my look I started out with my pants. I went with a pair of loose fitting trousers that have some movement. I love these pants because they are so comfortable and instantly add that laid back vibe to a look. Next, I selected a simple stripped boat neck T-shirt. Stripes are something I am often found in because they never get old. I added a chunky wooden necklace and a pair of lace-up espadrilles. I love the dual tone element of these. I had a blast creating this look and will definitely be playing around with new variations of it as the seasons change!
Get My Look: 1. Loose trousers. 2. Stripped top. 3. Lace-up espadrilles.
