This week the weather changed from 89 degrees and sunny to 55 degrees and rainy. Everyone on campus went from shorts and sandals to hunter boots and PSL’s in the matter of a day. Luckily the month of October not only brings us the beautiful change of scenery, but also my favorite season…fall! This effortless button down dress is comfy and effortless; the motto of the autumn season.
When I walked into J. Crew I was immediately drawn to the deep warm colors color of this flannel dress. I instantly thought of how versatile it could be and I couldn’t leave the mall that day without it! The subtle gold stitch in the dress adds a bit of femininity which I love. I accessorized this look with my favorite monogram necklace from Etsy and an essential dainty choker from PacSun. The brown leather riding boots I am wearing are by Coach, I purchased them from Nordstrom and I cannot seem to get rid of them; I always bring them back out every year. They are chic yet functional at the same time. These are the shoes I reach for in my closet simply because they can be dressed up or down while remaining effortless. You will never catch me without Sabika or Alex and Ani on my wrists! These accessories make any outfit just a bit more fun!
I paired this look with a soft burnt orange crease and a warm smoky copper lid to spotlight the bold jewelry and subdued lip color. I wanted the lip color to speak for itself. This lip color choice is named Whirl by MAC Cosmetics and it is a fall/winter must-have to throw in your travel bag!
