From my internship at ADEAM to my role as a Brand Ambassador at Banana Republic and my CollegeFashionista internship, I am constantly on the run in New York City. For most people I know, being on the run in the city consists of throwing on cute Nike sneakers, leggings and a fun tank top. I feel obligated to dress up no matter how busy I am, but my secret is to stay simple, yet stylish on those hectic days. Although resort 2016 collections have recently debuted, I am still obsessing over the spring 2015 ready-to-wear looks. The runway looks of Ji Oh for spring 2015 took over my heart. The simple colors and crisp button-downs of this collection allow any Fashionista to easily add her own style for an effortless outfit. My outfit was inspired by look seven, which is such a plain look; however, easy enough for me to add my own style and go from one job to the next.
Shirtdresses are the ideal outfit for the summertime. New York still has not decided if it wants to be summer yet, and this dress allows me to be comfortable for the weather and not look too crazy. I transformed this look by sporting a simple shirtdress with three-quarter sleeves, instead of a tank top like the model in the Ji Oh collection. I am a heels and wedges kind of girl, so instead of combat boots, I strutted the city in snakeskin platforms. My shoes gave a simple outfit more meaning. I carried my everyday black bag that dresses up any outfit and is the perfect size to throw flat shoes in if my feet start to hurt. I kept my jewelry very minimal because I was going for a simple look. Ji Oh made it easy for me to transform this look into my own and create an effortless outfit for my busy life.
If shirtdresses aren’t your thing, try a cropped button-down and shorts this summer. Button-downs are comfortable, yet classy, as demonstrated by Ji Oh’s runway looks.
