Looking effortlessly cool is kind of what we all aim to do. Well, at least for me. So when I came upon the Elizabeth & James 2015 ready-to-wear collection, it was like a dream come true. The collection features relaxed yet chic looks that give off a casual cool vibe all done in very neutral colors. Every runway look was so simple but exuded a certain chicness. The best part about it all, though, is that it seemed accessible—like us mere humans can recreate these looks without looking ridiculous.
I took inspiration from the collection by keeping everything clean lined and sticking to neutral colors. I’m wearing a great pair of black, slouchy fit pants with my favorite sporty-chic white sneakers. On the top I wore an oversized white shirt and kept it even more simple by only wearing dainty jewelry. Not wearing a lot of jewelry is revolutionary to me since I almost always have some sort of necklace on, but I loved the minimalistic feel of the whole outfit.
This minimalist chic look is what this summer is all about. There is no need to put on gaudy pieces and tons of accessories. Keeping everything simple but always stylish is a great way to beat the heat during the warmer months and look good doing so.
