For most people, summer is the season where you can experiment with fun, vibrant colors and styles. On the the other hand, you have Fashionistas like me who are rocking their neutrals year-round.
For this look, I was really inspired by the resort 2016 collection by Trina Turk. This collection truly brings a whole new meaning to summer style. It’ s full of stunning, neon colors that give it an almost electric feel. Obviously, this collection doesn’t seem like something that would appeal to us neutral-color lovers. However, these strikingly bold colors and patterns tempted me to step out of my comfort zone.
My goal for this look was to incorporate Turk’s cheery collection and make it work for even the most grunge loving Fashionista. The focal point of my ensemble was my neon yellow halter top. I felt like this top went along perfectly with the electric vibe from Turk’s collection. I then paired it with one of my favorite pair of black skinnies. I really had fun with the accessories for this look! Staying true to my ‘90s roots, I accessorized with a black choker necklace and layered it with a silver drop necklace. My favorite pair of silver hoops and silver bracelet also were a must for this look. I finished the ensemble off with a pair of my studded black strappy heels from Zara and a simple all black cross-body bag.
I absolutely love this look because it mixes together so many different styles. It’s like the Spice Girls meet Kylie Jenner. It also can be worn during the day or at night.
